Making a difference. Overnight community respite service, extended day centre-based respite service for carers of older people with low and high care needs; small group and in-home respite care, support/counselling for carers. Individually tailored services are based on need, and may be provided in the home or at community based venues. Practical support is offered to carers and the people they care for to: stay living at home stay independent and in charge of their own life keep in touch with family, friends and the community keep leading a healthy and fulfilling life keep contributing to the community. People living in country areas who need to visit town and are seeking city-based respite services may also access this service. Overnight community respite is also available for carers at our ridgway house facility in westbourne park. This service offers extended day respite in small groups or individually, six days per week. Respite for carers is available at several locations, at 6-8 township road, including the hersey cottages, marion. Resthaven community respite services support eligible people who live in the southern and eastern metropolitan area. Supporting older people and their carers. Fee for service in-home care and support.

Occupied in partnership with each person to comprehend their unique cultural needs and lifestyle, and co designing and providing services that are responsive to cultural needs. Information sessions delivered to community groups on a range of topics and services. Services delivered by staff trained in cultural competence, and where possible, matching staff with a similar language and cultural background as the earlier person. Services delivered by staff who have access to Resthaven Multicultural Programs’, an access point for cultural information, specific cultural services and guidance in providing cultural sensitive services. As the translations cannot be considered exact, they should only be impaired as a harsh guide. Resthaven was established in 1935 to yield encourage and services to former people. Our location at Mitch am offers residential care, residential respite, a day respite program for older people requiring a greater level of assistance with daily living, and Lifestyle Choices Plus Resthaven’s flexible, individualized feeforservice urge option with no waiting list or referral required.
